Crack in the wall...

We all love our walls smooth
in the bathroom, the kitchen and the bedroom to soothe
if you check out your house you'll see my proof
well painted or marbled, even the roof

We all love our walls clean
repainting them every so often
different colors they may be but a white is the ceiling
the loud colors like red and brown we try to soften

Then one day, as if we didn't see it coming
there's a flaw, a crack in our precious wall
as little as it may be, it causes this feeling
a discomfort so great almost to appall

The crack in the wall is referred to in conversation
it is now the center of attention
it becomes the cause of deviation
and eventually hurt and disintegration

The crack in the wall is a flaw in the plan
it needs to be looked at by someone
a constructor, a mason or one from the clan
it doesn't matter provided its done

Hours turn to days and days to weeks
The crack in the wall really needs a fix
it seems to be growing wide and longer
what to do about it we really need to ponder

Then the crack in the wall is finally checked
Luckily the wall wasn't so wrecked
however a large amount of paste is applied
for the crack in the wall to be nullified

Still the wall will not be the same
The sealed crack shows the shame
the damage that was can't be undone
the arguments and fights can't be unwon

The scar will forever be seen
nothing really could be done to redeem
as much as they tried to repaint the wall
the original smoothness is not there at all.
